Hikers typically spend about two hours on the route. The season runs from September through November, with peak aspen colors occurring in late September and early October. The area features dense aspen groves that turn golden during autumn. Weather conditions are generally cool and crisp, with daytime highs in the 60s and nighttime lows in the 30s or 40s. Afternoon thunderstorms are less common after the monsoon season ends. The trail connects to other aspen-lined paths and is accessible from the east side of town.
