It is considered easy to moderate in difficulty, featuring a mix of Class 3 and 4 terrain with exposed Class 5 moves. The route is accessible year-round, though winter conditions may require additional gear. A typical round trip covers approximately 7 miles with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain and takes around 8 hours. Climbers can access the trailhead via a service road, mountain bike trails, or the Silver Queen Lift. Parking is available at the Mount Crested Butte Resort. The area is pet-friendly.
