The site sits at an elevation of approximately 9,300 to 9,444 feet. The climbing consists of both bolted sport lines and traditional routes, with some routes extending up to 500 feet in length. The difficulty is rated as difficult, requiring a high level of skill and physical fitness. Parking is available at the base of the climb. The area is pet-friendly. Climbing is generally accessible from late spring through fall, though the site lists year-round accessibility with winter precautions. The Silverton area offers varied rock types, including granite and volcanic formations, characterized by cracks, slabs, and chimneys. The region experiences high altitude, variable weather, and afternoon thunderstorms during summer.
