The HR100 Silverton Route is a 2.24-mile hiking trail in Silverton, Colorado, situated on the Western Slope at an elevation of 9,895 feet. Classified as moderate difficulty with a total elevation change of 2,946 feet, the trail typically takes about one hour to complete. The route begins at a bridge crossing into the Kendall Mountain Recreation Area and follows the river along singletrack. While several roads intersect the path near the start, hikers should remain on the river corridor to stay on course. Toward the end of the trail, a gate marks the transition where the singletrack empties onto a road, providing access to Cunningham Gulch and connecting loops. Parking is available at the trailhead. The trail is open year-round, though winter conditions may bring snow and ice. Dog owners should keep pets leashed due to the presence of a resident moose, which can be aggressive. The trail is usable in both directions.
