Cucuy de los Cielos, or Boogieman of the Skies, is a one-way mountain biking trail in Rifle’s Grand Hogback system. The trail is rated moderate and sits at an elevation of 5,347 feet. It is accessible from April through October, with a closure period from December 1 to April 15. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are permitted. The trail begins with a gap jump and a long berm, leading into a section characterized by large berms, jumps, and features. Riders encounter gully drops and step-up moves in the upper section. The terrain transitions from juniper to sagebrush as the trail narrows. The route continues with speed-generating twists and turns before a small climb leads back into juniper trees with additional jumps and berms.
