About

Dented Door Trail is a steep, short mountain biking route in Montrose, Colorado. The trail spans 1.4 to 2 miles and connects Forest Service Road 562.1A with Spring Creek Trail #116. It functions primarily as a connector between the Upper Plateau and Spring Creek systems. The surface is mostly doubletrack with sections of singletrack. Most of the trail is rideable in either direction, but a short section near the bottom is steep and loose. The trail travels through an aspen forest. Difficulty is rated black diamond or difficult due to the steep grade, which reaches 25 percent in places. The trail is accessible from April through October. Parking is available near the trailhead at the end of Dented Door Spur Road. Pets are allowed on the route.
