Dr. Strangelove is a 26-meter (70-foot) sport climbing route located in Rifle Mountain Park, near Rifle, Colorado. The route is rated 5.9 and consists of a single pitch. The climb begins with a jump onto a narrow ledge at the left base, navigating under the first quickdraw. The rock is described as solid and pocketed, with modest but well-formed holds that require careful foot placement. The route features a blocky crux bulge near clips six and seven, demanding power and precise footwork. After the crux, the route traverses slightly left over a mini-arete before reaching anchor bolts. The cliff faces east to southeast, catching morning sun and providing shade in the afternoon. Access involves a short, rocky trek through loose scree patches, requiring sturdy footwear. Parking is available on site, and pets are allowed. The route is suitable for intermediate climbers seeking a focused burst of vertical movement.
