About

Dyne-E-Mite is a 60-foot single-pitch rock climbing route located on Nancy's Rock at Palisade Mountain, near the town of Palisade, Colorado. The route offers moderate difficulty with a mix of trad and sport climbing characteristics. Climbers encounter a steep 5.9 crux near the start, followed by a 5.6 roof maneuver and a final runout section rated 5.4 leading to anchors. The climb utilizes both fixed bolts and gear placements, requiring a rack of finger to mid-sized cams (1/2 to 2 inches) and quickdraws. Parking is available in a paved lot at the base of Nancy's Rock, accessible via US Highway 34. The approach involves walking through terrain that can be boggily moist, with potential for poison ivy near the start. The route is accessible year-round, though early morning light on the north-facing face makes it suitable for all-day climbing. Pets are permitted, and the site is pet-friendly.
