About

The Eider Creek, Deep Creek, and Mill Creek Waterline trail is a difficult 6.5-mile out-and-back hike in Telluride, Colorado. The route combines three distinct trail segments, starting from either Mill Creek Road (Forest Route 637) or North Aspen Street near downtown. Hikers begin on a rough, rocky section that transitions into smooth singletrack as they ascend through dense aspen groves. The trail crosses a small stream and joins the Deep Creek Trail at a signed junction, leading to a high point with limited views. The descent follows the Deep Creek Trail past open areas before crossing Mill Creek via a footbridge onto the Mill Creek Waterline Trail. This final segment contours the mountainside, offering views of Telluride and the San Miguel River Valley. The trail ends at Cornet Creek and North Aspen Street. Parking is available, though the access road on Mill Creek Road is narrow, steep, and requires caution for low-clearance vehicles. The hike typically takes about four hours.
