Firearms is a rock climbing area in Rifle, Colorado, situated at an elevation of 5,350 feet. It is part of Rifle Mountain Park, which is widely recognized for offering high-quality limestone sport climbing, particularly for grades 5.12 and above. The climbing features routes that range from slightly overhanging to very overhanging, characterized by large, flat holds, pockets, crimps, and pinches. The rock type is limestone from the Leadville formation. Access is available off Interstate 70 at exit 90. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The area is accessible year-round, though it tends to be fairly crowded on weekends between May and September. The climbing difficulty is classified as difficult, with a noted scarcity of moderate routes due to the nature of the rock and silt coverage on lower-angled sections.
