About
Slacker Direct is a short, difficult sport climb located in Rifle Mountain Park’s Wasteland area. The route is approximately 30 feet long and is noted for being an anomaly at Rifle: it is bouldery and very overhanging. The climb begins on the 'Euro-pods' of the adjacent Vision Thing route, moves left, and features a crux involving hard moves up and left to an obvious spike. The route finishes on a ledge at the same anchors as the Ruckus route. It is rated 5.13c (8a) and requires 5 to 7 quickdraws. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The climb is accessible year-round.
