About
G-Whiz Horseshoe is a 0.3-mile technical mountain biking loop located in Rifle, Colorado, at an elevation of 5,803 feet. Classified as difficult, the trail is typically ridden in about six minutes and operates from April through October. The route connects to the main G-Whiz trail, serving as a short but challenging extension for riders already on that system. The trail rides well in both directions, though clockwise is preferred by many. Key features include a technical squeeze between two large boulders early in the ride, followed by a steep, punchy climb with a central rain gutter. The upper section offers flowy singletrack over rocks and boulders, curling through an area described as resembling a meteor strike before dropping back to the main trail. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are permitted.
