About
Gothic Campground is a rustic, first-come, first-served site in the Gunnison National Forest near Crested Butte, situated at 9,662 feet. It lies between the Maroon Bells-Snowmass and Raggeds Wilderness Areas. The campground offers no water and no electric hookups. Facilities include vault toilets and parking. Sites are spaced within a spruce and fir forest. Access is via County Road 317, which can be narrow and rugged, though many visitors find it manageable for standard vehicles in dry conditions. The area supports hiking, mountain biking, and four-wheel driving. Pets are allowed. The season runs from May through September.
