The Gunny Loop is a singletrack hiking and mountain biking trail located near Grand Junction, Colorado. It begins at the Little Park Road Trailhead in the First Flats area. The trail forms a loop that skirts canyons and ridges, crossing Little Park Road before connecting to the Tabeguache Trail. The route is approximately 6 miles long, though some sources describe it as a larger 10.7-mile or 3.4-mile loop depending on the specific entry and exit points used. The trail is generally considered moderately challenging to difficult, featuring flowy sections mixed with technical rocky obstacles, sandy spots, and steep ramps. Hikers may encounter 2-foot ledges and aggressive inclines that sometimes require walking the bike. The trail is open year-round, with September through June cited as optimal visiting times. Parking is available at the Little Park Trailhead staging area. The trail allows dogs, which must be on a leash. It is part of the Lunch Loop Trail System and offers access to other nearby trails like Ribbon Trail and Andy's Loop. The trailhead overlooks the Grand Junction area, providing views of the surrounding landscape.
