About
Head Games is a 40-foot sport climbing route located in the Telluride area of the Western Slope. The route is classified as difficult and is situated at an elevation of 8,136 feet. It is a single-pitch climb protected by four bolts leading to a two-bolt anchor. The climb begins with steep, technical moves that trend left onto the face, followed by a rest section and a stiff roof with good holds. The route is positioned just left of the prominent hand crack route known as Special Sauce, and the two routes share an anchor. Access involves walking a short distance down the trail from where the wall is first encountered. Parking is available on-site, and the area permits pets. The route was first ascended by Damon Johnston and Charlie Fowler.
