The Ice Park Loop is a moderate hiking trail located in Ouray, Colorado, on the Western Slope. It serves as a perimeter route around the Ouray Ice Park, a well-known ice climbing destination. The trail is approximately 4 miles long with an elevation gain of roughly 1,000 feet, reaching a maximum elevation of 8,495 feet. Hikers typically complete the loop in about 2 hours. The path is clearly marked and well-traveled, making it suitable for families and children, though it is not paved and includes some elevation changes. Views of the Uncompahgre River are available along the route, and a pond marks the turnaround point of the loop. The trail is accessible year-round, from January through December. Winter conditions bring snow and ice, requiring appropriate footwear and gear. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are allowed.
