About
The Jess Weaver Trail, also known as the No Name Trail, is a 7.2-mile out-and-back route following No Name Creek in Glenwood Canyon. The trailhead is located on the north side of I-70 at Exit 119, just north of the No Name Rest Area. Parking is available for approximately six cars. The trail is generally considered moderate difficulty, though sections can be strenuous. It is open to hiking and horseback riding, and dogs are permitted on a leash. The trail follows the creek, which flows year-round, offering stream-side hiking with frequent creek crossings and waterfall views. The first half-mile passes large granite cliffs. The area was affected by the CriticalGold Mountain Fire, and hikers should be aware of post-fire flooding and debris flow risks. The trail is less traveled than other Glenwood Canyon options like Hanging Lake or Grizzly Creek, but can be busy on summer weekends. Fall foliage is present, and conditions are typically dry, though variable weather and potential snowfall occur later in the season.
