Lemon Chimney

Lemon Chimney is a rock climbing location in the Grand Junction area of Western Colorado, situated at an elevation of 4,626 feet. The site features a trad climbing route that is approximately 100 feet long and classified as easy. Climbers access the chimney by starting on the Lemon Squeezer route, moving through a roof and into a narrow dark corridor. The climb proceeds up the blocky chimney to a large chockstone, which presents the crux of the route. This obstacle is slightly exposed and more difficult than the chimney section itself. Above the chockstone, climbers are separated from the normal route by a knife-edge ridgeline. Several options exist to cross this ridge, though falls on the left side are considered deadly. The route offers no protection gear, requiring careful movement. Parking is available at the site, and it is pet friendly. The location remains accessible year-round.
