About
The Locals Loop is a moderate mountain biking route in Telluride that connects the Lawson Hill area to the San Miguel River valley and back. The trail is primarily doubletrack with sections of twisty, wooded singletrack and some road riding on Deep Creek Road and Last Dollar Road. Elevation gain is approximately 1,400 feet, reaching a high point near the Telluride Airport where riders can view Wilson and Sunshine Peak. The route passes through Mountain Village, offering access to amenities, and follows the Galloping Goose Trail and sections of the River Trail. Parking is available at the Lawson Hill trailhead, near the Conoco station. The trail is open from April through October and is pet-friendly.
