About

Lollipop Trail is a 1.7-mile mountain biking route in Aspen, Colorado, located on Smuggler Mountain. The trail connects the Smuggler Mountain Open Space to White River National Forest lands via Hunter Creek trails. It is rated difficult and features a distinctive out-and-back switchback known as the 'lollipop.' The route allows riders to access columbine flowers in season and includes sections through aspen groves and dark timber. The trail separates mountain bikers from hikers by avoiding old mining doubletrack routes. Parking is available at the trailhead, and the trail is pet-friendly. The typical riding season runs from April through October.
