Lower 8 is a 7.4-mile mountain biking loop located in the Electric Hills system near Montrose, Colorado. The route is classified as difficult and typically takes about two hours to complete. It begins at a parking lot and climbs the Flux Capacitor trail, passing a seasonal waterfall before descending through rolling terrain with rock rolls. Riders then connect to Power Bill for cross-country riding before rejoining Flux Capacitor and continuing onto Electric Avenue. The trail transitions to level tech flow before crossing a dirt road to Short Circuit. The loop concludes with Ohm-Ward Bound, described as a fast, flowing downhill with berms and rollers. The trail is generally open from April through October, though specific sources note it is closed from December 1st to April 15th. The area is pet-friendly.
