About
The Lower Hunter Creek Trail is a short, technical hiking route located near Aspen, Colorado, starting on Lone Pine Road just east of the Hunter Creek Condos. The trail parallels Hunter Creek and crosses it multiple times as it ascends through forested terrain. The path consists of dirt and gravel with rocky sections, wooden boardwalks, and loose gravel on steeper inclines. It is generally considered difficult due to the sustained elevation gain and technical nature of the footing. The trail ends at a dirt access road, which connects to singletrack above the valley. Parking is available at the trailhead. The route is open year-round for hiking.
