Luhr's Route, also known as the Right Dihedral, is a moderate single-pitch traditional climbing route located in Monument Canyon within Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction. The climb ascends 120 feet up a left-facing dihedral in red sandstone, offering a mix of technical laybacking and crack climbing. The route begins with three bolts; climbers can lead past the first unprotected section by clipping the next two bolts with 24-inch runners. The crux involves precise crimps and body positioning before transitioning into the dihedral, which demands steady footwork. A broad ledge midway provides a rest spot. Protection requires a standard rack up to a #4 Friend and shoulder slings for the initial bolts. The top anchors are solid, featuring a bomber chain suitable for lowering or rappelling with a 50-meter rope. The wall faces mostly west, providing dappled shade during afternoon climbs. Parking is available, and the area is pet-friendly. The route is accessible year-round.
