Maximum Impaction is a 5.11 YDS trad route in Rough Canyon, Grand Junction, Colorado. The climb consists of two pitches totaling approximately 165 feet. The first pitch features face climbing leading to groove climbing, finishing with a traverse to a two-bolt anchor. The second pitch traverses left into a right-facing finger corner, moves through a roof, and finishes with face climbing to a two-bolt anchor. Climbers can combine the pitches or toprope the second pitch, leaving gear in the roof to prevent rope drag. The route requires protection ranging from #00 Metolius to #4 Camalot, with doubles in #0 Metolius and triples in #1 to #2 Metolius, plus stoppers and runners. It is located 250 yards right of the route Eve of War, identifiable by a varnished finger corner 100 feet up. Parking is available at the gravel lot on the rough road leading to Rough and Bangs canyons, followed by a short hike.
