About
Mesa County Cult is a boulder climbing area located on the east face of Curly's Draw on Grand Mesa, near Grand Junction. The site sits at an elevation of 8,882 feet. The primary feature is a 13-foot (4-meter) boulder with a distinct climbing problem. The route begins with a sit start on a pair of edges, moving up and slightly left through a series of edges toward a rounded lip. Climbers reach a good right-hand sidepull high up before finishing on the slab. The climb requires only a pair of pads for protection, as there is a rock at the start that pads well. Parking is available near the base of the climbs. The area is pet-friendly. While the general climbing area is accessible year-round, this specific route is a short, technical boulder problem rather than a long ascent.
