About
Monkey Lust is a rock climbing area in Durango, Colorado, located on Dry Fork Cliff. The site features difficult trad routes suitable for experienced climbers. A primary route, listed as 5.12-, is a 70-foot (21-meter) finger crack that climbs through a roof to a ledge, over a bulge, and ends at a bolted anchor. The route was first ascended by Kossin and Tucker in 1991. Climbers should bring traditional protection gear. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The area is accessible year-round, though a wildlife closure restricts access from December 1 to April 15. The elevation is 7,119 feet.
