About
The Moore Open Space trail is a short, moderate singletrack route in Aspen, Colorado, designed primarily for mountain biking. It connects the paved bike paths near the Marolt Open Space roundabout to the Tiehack Bridge, which spans Maroon Creek. The eastern trailhead sits on the west side of the bike path bridge, while the southwest end links to the Aspen Recreation Center baseball fields. The terrain consists of gently rolling sage brush with abundant wildflowers and offers distant views of Pyramid Peak. The trail is accessible from April through October and allows pets. Parking is available at the trailhead. A separate beginner loop and a winter nordic loop also exist within the open space, connecting to the Aspen Golf Course nordic trails via a Highway 82 underpass.
