Mrs. Mesa is a rock climbing destination on the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado, situated near Whitewater and accessible from CO Highway 65. The site features routes suitable for climbers of moderate skill level, with an elevation of approximately 10,098 feet. Parking is available on site, and the area is pet friendly. The climbing area is accessible year-round, though winter conditions may require additional precautions such as ice or mixed gear. The route is described as a 200-foot climb with sustained vertical sections and requires a short approach, often involving a hike or ski from the Land's End area. The Grand Mesa itself is characterized by volcanic basalt cap rock, which provides climbable buttresses and steep walls. The area is part of the Uncompahgre National Forest, offering opportunities for both scrambling and technical climbing. The specific Mrs. Mesa route was first ascended in October 2005 and is located where Whitewater Creek dumps over the west side of the mesa.
