Mueller State Park in Divide offers moderate fall hiking across 5,100 acres of mixed conifer and aspen forests. The trails provide views of Pikes Peak Granite outcroppings and surrounding mountains, with peak aspen coloration occurring from September through November. Hikers typically spend about two hours on the trails, which range in length and feature some elevation gain. The park is located near Colorado Springs and serves as habitat for elk, black bear, mule deer, and over 100 bird species. Facilities include parking, restrooms, and a visitor center open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leashed dogs are permitted on the trails, though some sources note restrictions in campgrounds and picnic areas. The park enforces a Stage 2 Fire Ban, prohibiting open campfires but allowing gas fire pits and propane or natural gas grills. Trails are suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
