The Narrow Gauge trail is a moderate mountain biking route located in the Cerro Summit Recreation Area near Montrose, Colorado. The trail spans 0.4 miles and sits at an elevation of 5,814 feet. It follows a section of an old narrow gauge railroad bed before looping back to reconnect with the Meadow Loop. Riders access the trail from the Lower Loop or Meadow Loop Trail by following signs along the flat railroad bed. After a few hundred yards, riders turn right down a switchback onto a crosshill trail that becomes more challenging. The route includes a small arroyo and a water crossing before climbing back up. Parking is available near the trailhead, and pets are permitted, though riders should be aware of sheep in the area. The typical season for riding is April through October.
