The Oak Leaf Trail is a short, easy loop in Ridgway State Park, located just outside Ridgway, Colorado. The trail spans approximately 0.8 to 0.9 miles with an elevation gain of about 55 feet, rising from roughly 6,640 to 6,695 feet. It is designed for a casual stroll and takes most hikers around 24 minutes to complete. The surface consists of a mix of aggregate and dirt sections. The trail allows leashed dogs and bicycles but does not permit horses, motorcycles, or ATVs. Nordic skiing and snowshoeing are permitted on the trail during winter months. Parking is available at the trailhead. While the trail itself is easy, it serves as an access point to the broader Ridgway State Park amenities, which include campgrounds, a reservoir, and picnic areas.
