About
Rabbit Valley 8 Parallel Doubletrack is a moderate mountain biking trail located in Fruita, Colorado, on the Western Slope. The trail sits at an elevation of 4,512 feet and is accessible from April through October. It runs parallel to the northern leg of the main Rabbit Valley 8 trail, beginning approximately one-quarter mile south along the steep entry doubletrack. This positioning allows riders to use it as an alternative route or a bailout option when the sand on the main trail becomes overwhelming. The surface is described as sandy but generally more rideable than the steep sections of its neighbor, offering views of the cliff face and Mee Canyon. Parking is available at the trailhead, and pets are permitted on the route.
