The Red Canyon Trail to Sloane Cutoff is a 6.4-mile difficult hike located near Aspen and Woody Creek on the Western Slope. The trail begins at the end of a spur road off Red Rim Road and descends via narrow singletrack to the canyon floor. The route features one extremely steep, loose descent with large rocks, followed by a gradual climb along the creek. The trail connects with the Arbaney Kittle Trail. It is used by hikers, mountain bikers, and horses, and allows dogs. Parking is available at the trailhead. The trail is open year-round, though conditions vary with snow and ice in winter.
