Sawdust is a rock climbing area in Deadwood Gulch, near Silverton, Colorado. The site features sport routes on quartzite rock with easy difficulty ratings, typically around 5.6 to 5.8. The primary route ascends positive holds on an arete and face, utilizing bolts for protection. It sits left of old mining bars drilled into the cliff and serves as an alternate start to the Widow Maker route. The area is located at 10,610 feet elevation with parking available nearby. Access requires passing through a bolted gate marked no trespassing, but climbers are permitted to leave their vehicles at the parking area and walk around. The site is pet friendly and open year-round, with prime climbing conditions during the summer months.
