Shock Therapy is a difficult mountain biking trail located in Montrose, Colorado, on the Western Slope. The route climbs around a prominent butte known locally as Racing Strip Rock, offering expansive views and a designated rest area at the summit. The trail features stiff climbing, technical sections, and a descent that traverses above steep slopes. Riders are advised to travel counter-clockwise to experience a longer downhill section. The trail is part of the Electric Hills system, which closes to all use from December 1 through April 15. Consequently, the recommended riding season extends from April through October. The route has a hard overall physical rating and is suitable for experienced riders who can handle rough conditions and potential obstacles.
