The Silver Lake Trail is a short, difficult hike located near Telluride, Colorado, in the Uncompahgre National Forest. The trailhead begins at a creek crossing on the Bridal Veil Trail, approximately a half-mile above the power plant. The destination is a blue alpine lake surrounded by peaks. Conditions can include icy or snowy ground, especially from January through April, and the initial creek crossing may be tricky in early summer. Parking is available at the trailhead.
