Skip's Hard One

Skip's Hard One is a boulder problem in the Society Turn area of Telluride, Colorado. It sits at an elevation of 10,892 feet and is classified as a moderate to hard climb, with grades listed between V7 and V8. The route was first ascended by Skip Guerin. Climbers begin with a sit start on a slanted, horizontal rail located five feet to the right of the route Frosted Flake. The climb moves up and left using crimps and slopers, avoiding a vertical crack to the right of the start. The finish is on Frosted Flake, with a chalked-up jug above the seam serving as a key hold. The problem is considered an 'eliminate,' meaning it requires only one pad for protection. Parking is available at the site, and pets are allowed. The area offers access to indoor climbing walls and local guides. Telluride is known for its ice climbing routes, including Bridalveil Falls, Ames Ice Hose, and Ingraham Falls.
