About
The Cave Route, also known as NoName 01, is a moderate sport climbing route located on the Puoux crag near Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The route is bolted and spans approximately 40 feet. It is situated on the Lower Wall of Puoux, specifically positioned on the far right of the lower wall, between a 5.9 cave route and the 10c route known as Shark's Tooth. The area is part of the Defiance Cave Preserve, which is private property. Climbers must submit a waiver to the property manager, Ken Headrick, via email before climbing. Access is year-round. Summers can be hot, with afternoon shade providing relief, while winters are cold but the wall receives good sun and tends to stay dry. Parking is available at a large dirt pullout on the right side of the road, a short distance from the No Name exit on I-70. The route is pet-friendly.
