About
The Edge Loop: Cutoff East is a 1.9-mile moderate mountain biking trail in Fruita, Colorado, located on the lower edge of the Book Cliffs. It serves as a shortcut connecting the Lipan Canyon section of the Edge Loop to the upper part of 18 Road. The route is characterized by significant elevation changes, climbing and descending across several drainages before leveling out into flowy sections near the road terminus. The trail begins at the end of the Edge Loop - Lipan Canyon Section and ends at 18 6/10 Road. Riders can park at the trailhead and bring pets. Access is generally available from April through October, though conditions vary; spring may see snow in upper reaches while the North Fruita desert becomes hot later in the season. The trail is suitable for riders with some experience due to its up-and-down profile.
