The Silver Surfer is a sport climbing route located on the Hawaiian Wall within Rifle Mountain Park, near Rifle, Colorado. The climb is rated 5.11d and features a sustained, technical ascent on limestone rock. Described as airy with steep sections, the route utilizes pockets, crimps, and pinches on a large, flat panel. The wall is situated in a riparian canyon approximately 200 miles west of Denver, known for high-quality limestone from the Leadville formation. Parking is available in a pull-out near Skull Cave or at the larger Wastand lot, with access via a short walk. The area is busiest on weekends between May and September. Climbers should expect moderate to steep angles, with the rock face offering consistent holds despite occasional silt or moss coverage on lower-angled sections. The route is pet-friendly and accessible year-round, though summer months see the highest traffic.
