About
Tribal Wisdom is a 50-foot trad climb located on Grand Mesa, a volcanic basalt plateau west of Grand Junction. The route features a distinct bulge leading to a small roof, which climbers pass using finger locks before continuing up easier terrain to the chains. The rock is described as having good quality, typical of the thick basalt layers found in the Palisade Lobe area. The climb is rated difficult and requires significant skill. Access is via the Land's End Area, reached by driving south from Grand Junction on US Highway 50 for approximately 13 miles, then east on Kannah Creek Road. Parking is available on-site. The area is pet-friendly. The route was first ascended by Alex Garhart in June 2012.
