About
Unknow Left-facing Corner to Top is a 5.11a trad climbing route located on the southwest face of Mikey's Island at Palisade Mountain. The 80-foot (24-meter) climb begins as a handcrack within a 50-foot left-facing corner. Climbers ascend the crack from thin hands to tight fists until it widens, then continue up an arete past a bolt on the left wall. The route features sections of 5.10 and 5.11a difficulty with granite rock. Parking is available on site, and the area is pet friendly. Access has been open since 2023 following the Cameron Peak Fire, though climbers should verify current conditions as dead trees are being cleared from Storm Mountain Road. The route is suitable for year-round climbing, with the south-facing aspect making it favorable in winter and early spring.
