The trail offers views of Whetstone Mountain and the surrounding valley, with notable fall aspen colors and summer wildflower blooms. It is generally considered a moderate route. The trail stays drier into the fall and early spring due to its southern exposure and lower elevation relative to higher peaks. Access is from Brush Creek Road (County Road 738), approximately two miles south of town on Route 135. Parking is available across from the trailhead. The trail ascends through a dense aspen grove and connects to the Upper Upper Loop and Whetstone Vista. Hikers should be aware that weather changes quickly, and afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer.
