About

Vallecito Burrito is a 5.12a YDS sport climbing route located in the Penthouse area of Vallecito Crags, near Durango on the Western Slope. The route sits at an elevation of 8,029 feet and is rated as difficult. It was first ascended by Mike Burdon in 2013. The climb is short and requires technical precision rather than length. After navigating this section, the route becomes easier to complete. The wall offers protection for sport climbing, and Vallecito Burrito is currently positioned as the rightmost route on its specific wall section. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The area features a variety of climbing grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.12c, indicating a diverse selection of routes for climbers with different skill levels.
