Velocity Basin is a moderate fall hiking destination located near Silverton, CO. The trail to the basin typically takes around 2 hours to complete, covering a route that is suitable for those with some hiking experience. From September through November, hikers can expect to see the changing colors of the aspen trees and other fall foliage, although trail conditions may become increasingly snowy and icy as the season progresses. Visitors can access the trail from a parking area with available restrooms, and pets are also permitted on the hike.
