Situated at the intersection of Midland Avenue and 8th Street, the park sits at an elevation of 5,733 feet. It offers a moderate hiking experience that typically takes about two hours to complete. The park is accessible during the fall months of September through November, when conditions are generally dry and firm. Visitors can utilize parking facilities, restrooms, picnic tables, and charcoal barbecues. Additional amenities include volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a playground, and three picnic shelters, two of which have electric outlets. A wheelchair-accessible fishing ramp is also available. The park allows pets and features trails suitable for various activity levels.
