About
Wapiti is a 1.4-mile mountain biking trail in Telluride, Colorado, connecting Lift 4 to Lift 5 at an elevation of approximately 8,793 feet. Built by the Telluride bike park crew and added to the Cross Country System in 2023, it serves as a multi-use access route. The trail is classified as difficult and offers brisk uphill climbs or flowing downhill descents with small steep sections. Riders must hold a Bike Park or Cross Country pass to access the trail via the Gondola during operating hours, though pedaling uphill is free. The route is pet-friendly and has available parking. Seasonal access runs from April through October, contingent on snow conditions. Hikers and uphill users have the right of way over downhill bikers.
