The Wapiti Trail is a short, easy hike located in Ridgway State Park near Ridgway, Colorado. It connects the state park’s Visitor Center to Dutch Charlie Campground and back. The trail is 0.56 miles long with an elevation of approximately 7,584 feet. Hikers can complete the route in about 16 minutes to half an hour. The path is a singletrack that allows travel in both directions. Parking is available at the trailhead near the Visitor Center. The trail permits leashed dogs, bicycles, and Nordic skiing in winter. It is open year-round and suitable for all seasons.
