The Wasatch Connection is a difficult mountain biking trail in Telluride, Colorado, located on the Western Slope. It spans 1.7 miles and reaches an elevation of approximately 8,793 to 12,162 feet. The trail connects the Bear Creek drainage with the Telluride Ski Area, climbing steep and rocky switchbacks up the east side of Gold Hill before dropping into Bear Creek. Riders often access it from See Forever, Mountain Village, or the Gondola. The route features narrow, steep sections with serious exposure, offering fast singletrack below the downhill terrain. It is typically open from April through October, subject to snow conditions and seasonal construction near Lift 9. Parking is available at the trailhead. The trail allows pets and serves as a key link for longer rides, such as the See Forever/Wasatch Connection Loop.
