It is a popular, easy-to-moderate route ideal for sunset strolls and accessible to pets. Amenities include parking and restrooms. The trail is open year-round, with fall hiking being a common activity from September through November. The total trail length is approximately 14.1 miles, though the trailhead itself is the starting point near town.
